If 10 puts them on an e core, the task is going to take significantly longer to complete. That means that 11 will try to put active tasks on the p cores while 10 will just put them on whatever core is available with no regard for which ones are faster.įor creative work (I'm not sure about the specifics but this should hold true for just about anything), there are often tasks that will be bound to a single thread. Windows 10 is not aware of which cores are the performance and which are the efficiency cores, whereas Windows 11 is. I think that the benefit is less of a increase in benchmarks and more in better scheduling. are the major gripes of windwos 11 (ex: having to manually reset web extension links from Microsoft edge to Chrome, etc) still a prominent issue which hampers your user experience?.

I saw another post from 2 months back asking a similar question, so I'm making this post as a sort-of update thread so that people can maybe chime in and give their thoughts on whther or not it's worth it to make the upgrade as it stands right now. I hope this thread could provide a good insight into what other people's experience have been like so that people considering the upgrades can make their own decisions. I'm currently running a 12600K with windows 10 right now and I'm considering upgrading to windows 11 albeit extremely hesitant due to the instability issues that I've been hearing from other people who've made the upgrade.
